In an era of Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, and social ads, it’s easy to overlook the importance of screenwriters in creative media. In “Writing the Show Bible,'' the third module in our From Story to Script course, students will develop ideas for an episodic series by generating a set of characters in a world that can inspire multiple stories and plots fit for years of programming for online, streaming, or television. .  This course will be heavily workshop-based, focusing on direct feedback between instructor and students.
Course Takeaway
Students will apply story expansion techniques to extrapolate a single story into an ongoing episodic show idea and create a show bible.

About the Instructor
Michael Tabb is an award-winning screenwriter, screenwriting educator and decade-long member of the Writers Guild of America. He has developed feature film projects for and with Disney Feature Animation, The Canton Company at Warner Brothers, comic book icon Stan Lee, Dustin Hoffman and many more.
