In an era of Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, and social ads, it’s easy to overlook the importance of screenwriters in creative media. “Origin of Stores,'' the first module in our From Story to Script course, will focus on character creation, 3-act story arc design, premise development, and genre analysis, which are the key elements of engaging stories.  This course will be heavily workshop-based, focusing on direct feedback between instructor and students, as well as consistent peer review to help build critiquing and team-writing skills.
Course Takeaway
Students will analyze films and episodic stories into their basic components and understand how they work together to synthesize an entertainment property.
